gph: The Ladies won their opening friendly 6-0, and they've signed a new striker.

Can we borrow her?

No you're right, pre season really is an indicator to how well you'll do when the actual season comes around

I remember a time we won every game of pre-season and we... we... oh!

You can't read much into a game like this. Just a mildly competitive run out

I think with Obiang, Kouyate, Noble, Fernandes and Cullen we have central midfield covered.

The cause for most people's concern is it's blatantly obvious we need a striker, and have needed one we can rely on for god knows how long. It should have been sorted out before we started preseason.

Sir Alf it'd be Obiang and Fernandes for me

Look on the bright side.

The Ladies won their opening friendly 6-0, and they've signed a new striker.

Yeah first game, innit. Only saw the first half, gentle runaround, didn't expect much more at this stage. Like to see a bit more intensity against Fulham, especially as Chelsea put 8 past them the other day.

Fucking hell all this after one friendly.

Remind me not to come on here after the united game.

Cannot score goals. We all know the problem even Bilic.

We need 2 strikers of quality. Btw, Fletcher will not make it in the Premiership IMO so we will be relying on Ayew who is not ( again IMHO ) a player that can play up front alone.

Snodgrass, Feghouli need to go and replaced with better. We also need a better central midfield option to Noble and Kouyate.

3 weeks to get things sorted or likelihood is that we will have a poor start and be at the foot of the table after 5 games.

Easy game on Thursday against Fulham, moderate Championship opposition!

Actually a footballing side with an owner that seems to know what he's doing now,and a manager with tactical awareness.

I remember hearing the same shit last pre season when we were terrible, but there's no need to worry, because look how well the season worked out?

Slaven would probably get his nickers in a twist when having to make a tactical change ag ag ag

Many teams line up a game against amateurs as their very first game back as a gentle reintroduction and the chance to bang in 6 or 7 or 12 goals.
Austrian Div 3 Reserves is obviously too high a standard.
Maybe a girls u12 (disabled) team next season?

Friendlys should be behind closed doors so no one can watch them

Billic " it was a competitive game "

Really ??? are you having a giraffe !!!! we should have buried them about 7-0 again it shows slaven does have the tactical Nouse to beat teams and no plan B at any point against any team ! they should have had the bollocking of their lifes when they went back in the dressing room . Reserves of an Austrian Div 3 team wasn't it ????
